Using Kanban View to Actually See What Your Team Is Working On

Most Kanban boards fail because they live separately from the work data. When your board pulls directly from a structured table, it stays accurate without anyone manually syncing it.

1

Switch Views Without Losing Data

Kanban view in Recordbook uses your existing Status column to group cards — no separate setup required. Switch between Table and Kanban at any time without changing the underlying data. What one person sees as a spreadsheet row, another sees as a card on a board.

2

Drag Cards to Update Status Instantly

Moving a card from 'In Progress' to 'Done' updates the status field in the table in real time. This means your manager's table view and your Kanban view always reflect the same truth. No sync delays, no duplicate updates.

3

Limit What Each Role Can Move

Not everyone should be able to close a task or move a record to a final stage. Role-based permissions let you control who can drag cards across columns, so your workflow stages are enforced rather than suggested. Editors can move cards; Viewers can only observe.
