Building a Home View Your Team Will Actually Use Every Day

The first thing most people do when they open a workspace is navigate to the same two or three tables they use daily. A well-configured home view eliminates that navigation entirely by putting key tables and recent activity front and center.

1

Shortcuts to the Tables That Matter

Pin the tables your team opens every day to the home view as shortcuts. Instead of drilling through a sidebar each morning, team members land directly on the relevant data. This small change reduces friction enough that people actually start their day in the workspace instead of their inbox.

2

Recent Activity as a Passive Sync Tool

The recent activity section on the home view surfaces what's changed since you last logged in without requiring a dedicated notification tool. If a record was updated, a file attached, or a status changed on a key table, it shows up here. This replaces a lot of the 'can you send me an update?' messages that slow teams down.

3

Customize Per Person, Not Per Team

Home views are personal — each team member sets up their own shortcuts based on what they work on. A sales rep and a finance manager shouldn't be looking at the same home screen. Personal customization means the home view stays relevant as roles evolve without needing an admin to update it.
